Piesa se compune din două părți: o cutie dreptunghiulară din scânduri asamblate în "coadă de rândunică" și un ax metalic pe care s-a fixat o roată de lemn, cioplită dintr-o singură bucată și un cilindru pentru bobinat țevile de la războiul de țesut. Pe "urechile" laterale (montanții cutiei) este realizat un decor crestat cu motive geometrice: dinții de lup și câte o rozetă.
