The work took part in the Retrospective Exhibition "Camil Ressu. PicturÄ Èi GraficÄ" ("Camil Ressu. Painting and Graphics"), The Art Museum of the Socialist Republic of Romania, 1981-1982 and is reproduced in the catalogue of the exhibition at cat. 113 under the title "Portretul RodicÄi Ciocârdel" ("Portrait of Rodica Ciocârdel"). A charcoal portrait (1948), dated before the painting, is part of the same collection.
