În 1968, Nicolae Ceauşescu s-a opus agresiunii Moscovei din Cehoslovacia, câştigând astfel simpatia statelor din vestul Europei și America. Aceste fotografii, folosite de presa americană, sunt însoţite de descrieri ale diferitelor momente în care Nicolae Ceauşescu şi-a afirmat susţinerea în privinţa reformelor lui Alexander Dubček, dar şi opoziţia faţă de celelalte state comuniste membre ale Pactului de la Varşovia. Una dintre fotografii, reprezentând portretul lui Nicolae Ceaușescu, este însoțită de certificat de autenticitate emis de Associated Press.
