acuarelă şi peniţă pe hârtie, 37 x 14 cm, 14x37, semnat, datat și localizat stânga jos, cu brun, Marie, Cotroceni, 1902
Lucrare din prima etapă de creaţie a reginei Maria, pe atunci principesă moştenitoare, cu motivele sale predilecte, flori – două lalele albe, cu crucea gamată neagră, bordată cu alb (devenită emblema reginei). Acuarela este semnată „Marie”, datată „1902” şi localizată „Cotroceni”. Este cu siguranţă o lucrare destinată surorii sale preferate, Victoria-Melita (Ducky), realizată pe o hârtie specială, imprimată cu cifrul soţului acestuia, Marele Duce Ernst Ludwig de Hessen, marele protector al Jugendstilului de la Darmstadt. Ulterior, lucrarea a fost înrămată în capitala ducatului german.
