Bogata iconografie a regelui Carol I a cunoscut un punct culminant cu ocazia Expoziției jubiliare din 1906. Remarcabila piesă de față, realizată de artistul Gabriel Popescu și imprimată la Paris în atelierul lui Ch. Wittmann, ni-l prezintă pe rege în uniforma de general de infanterie, mare ținută, cu toate decorațiile primite, într-un cadru oval ce are la bază stema regatului, cu deviza "Nihil Sine Deo". Legenda întregește discursul: "CAROL I REGE AL ROMÂNIEI/ÎN ANUL UNA MIE NOUĂ SUTE ŞASE/LA PATRUZECI DE ANI DE DOMNIE"
