Research information
Sculptor Dan Istrate was born in 1975 in Cluj, Romania, where he lives and works today. In 1993, he graduated from the "Ioan Andreescu" Academy of Visual Arts in Cluj, in 2005, he graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti, Carrara, Italy, sculpture major. In 2008 he got his Master"s Degree in sculpture from the Accademia di Belle Arti, Carrara, Italy, and in 2012 he got his PhD in visual arts at UAD, Cluj-Napoca. He lived and worked in Carrara, Italy, for many years. His portfolio of exhibitions is impressive.
