Exploit the mystery of the donation made by Kira Hagi and discover the collectible or the country-specific experience which she donated for the AMIAS cause. The content of the "Mystery Box" will only be made known after the award, and the collected funds will be directed to 150 children who will be provided with schooling, hot meals, therapy, and emotional recovery. The charity auction is organized by AMIAS and the International Women's Association of Bucharest (IWA). After the exhibitions "The Sound of Silence" from Bucharest, "Reflections" from Entree Des Artistes Gallery in France and "Experiment Dezrădăcinare" ("Uprooting Experiment") from the Museum of the Romanian Peasant, paintress and actress Kira Hagi has chosen to auction the painting "XIII" from her latest exhibition, "Rădăcini" ("Roots") from Senso Gallery in Bucharest. Passionate about everything that pertains to art, Kira Hagi studied Art at International British School of Bucharest (IBSB) and completed CIE Advanced Level Art & Design. She was awarded a scholarship at New York Film Academy and, three years later, she got her Bachelor's Degree in Acting for Film. Kira Hagi sees the period when she lived in Los Angeles as the most creative in her life, because she created dozens of paintings every week. She later became aware that painting was a form of therapy, which helped her survive the longing for her family and for home. “I left the country, as any young person who dreams of succeeding where others don't dare, persuaded that "in another country" I would find the meaning of life on this earth, that I would live a fairytale. Four years later, dozens of failed castings, several theatre projects in which I had started to take roots, rewarding applause, the new entourages, lots of new friends, as well as many evenings of longing had me standing before a personal revelation: one is never really uprooted, because some roots will always remain in the ground, taking the first opportunity to come to life once again. I returned to the country when I first had the chance to, but my new roots remained overseas; however, this is all for the better, I will always be "at home" on two continents.”
