Research information

Handwritten on the reverse: "Casa pescarului" ("The Fisherman's House"). In 1934, in the Șirato-Tonitza-Han group exhibition, Tonitza has presented two compositions entitled "Căsuța pescarului" ("The Fisherman's House"). Until now, we had been acquainted with only one of them, namely the one featured in the Solacolu historical collection, reproduced in "Tonitza", Ionel Jianu, 1945. The artwork was included in the "Tonitza și geniul copilăriei" ("Tonitza and the Childhood Genius") exhibition, Museums' Pavilion, Artsafari 2019, and is featured in the exhibition's catalogue on page 267.

For clarifications regarding the bidding procedure, hammer price costs, guarantee, payment, and collection terms for the winning lot, we recommend carefully reading/re-reading the Bidding Regulations.
