Research information
Handwritten on the reverse: "Casa pescarului" ("The Fisherman's House"). In 1934, in the Èirato-Tonitza-Han group exhibition, Tonitza has presented two compositions entitled "CÄsuÈa pescarului" ("The Fisherman's House"). Until now, we had been acquainted with only one of them, namely the one featured in the Solacolu historical collection, reproduced in "Tonitza", Ionel Jianu, 1945. The artwork was included in the "Tonitza Èi geniul copilÄriei" ("Tonitza and the Childhood Genius") exhibition, Museums' Pavilion, Artsafari 2019, and is featured in the exhibition's catalogue on page 267.
