Obverse: IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P COS V P P Reverse: COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI / DAC CAP On the obverse, the coin presents Emperor Trajan's bust, wearing a laurel wreath, oriented towards right, alongside the abbreviation of the Latin caption 'Imperator, Caesar, Nervae Traiano Augustus, Germanicus, Dacicus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate, Consul Quintum, Pater Patriae', while the reverse illustrates the image of a Dacian in captivity, next to a spear, two swords and two shields, surrounded by the inscription of the abbreviated phrase 'Consul Quintum, Pater Patriae, Senatus Populusque Romanus, Optimo Principi, Dacia Capta'.
