Ottoman miniature is a Turkish art form from the Ottoman Empire, which can be linked to the Persian miniature tradition, and to strong Chinese artistic influences. The words taswir or nakish were used to define the art of miniature painting in Ottoman Turkish, while the studios the artists worked in were called Nakkashanes (Academy of Painting).

For clarifications regarding the bidding procedure, hammer price costs, guarantee, payment, and collection terms for the winning lot, we recommend carefully reading/re-reading the Bidding Regulations.
