Cătălin Năstăsoiu is an object designer, developer of the RONATIV objects series. In 2010, from New York, he virtually launched the RONATIV concept, using the multiplication of the map of Romania, to develop graphic impressions about the events in the country, from the perspective of an immigrant, to communicate them to the public in the adoptive country. In 2012, he “moved” the project from the virtual space to the physical one and returned to Romania to produce the first series of RONATIV porcelain objects in Alba Iulia. For porcelain objects he developed a special manufacturing system, which allows him to produce small series without wasting material and energy. RONATIV proposes through “containerized” porcelain objects a social-cultural transaction, an opening of conversation, an exchange of impressions and meanings in the social field, which connects, for those who migrate or travel, the country of origin with the host country. The box made especially for the second edition, with a series of 30 pieces, is a reflection of the term containerization used in the techniques of transporting products in exchange for international goods. Each piece has an individual personality and the names of "The Three Graces", Proud, Belly and Column were coded in M1, M2, P1, P2, C1, C2. To these are added an edition of three candlesticks called Candlestick S1, S2 and S3. Container boxes have been specially created for each model and are design objects themselves, numerated and manufactured only for these series. The containers are made of recycled cardboard, the elements that build it are obtained by laser cutting technology and the joining and customization by stamping are done manually. This package is dedicated only to the 30th edition, on each container are printed the encoded name of the piece, the edition number and the serial number of the object. The editions are manufactured in numbered limited series. This second edition holds series of 30 pieces for each model, dedicated to the three decades since 1989.
