Contained in the letter dated March 17, 1938, drafted in his studio at Impasse Ronsin no. 11 from Paris, the sculptor Constantin Brancusi addresses his niece with a few warm words, referring to his travels and a financial help of 5000 lei, mediated in favor of his niece by the young sculptor Irina Codreanu. After Brancusi's holographic text, signed and dated, follows another text, also a holograph, signed by the sculptor, which includes news about Brancusi's good health, the request to send greetings to the Codreanu family in Romania and to give news about herself. The letter is written on a vellum paper with black ink. The second letter, also written by Brancusi in Paris on October 1, 1937, has as its main subject the financial help he sent to his niece in the form of two checks each worth 5000 lei. The letter is signed, dated and written with black ink on vellum paper. The original envelope of this letter is preserved, with the postal stamps intact, flown by air on the route Paris-Vienna-Bucharest, with the addresses handwritten by Brancusi.
