"The Moon of Bucharest" encompassed a series of artistic and cultural manifestations that celebrated, under this guise, the personality cult of King Carol II. Ary Murnu managed to capture in the image all the characteristic buildings of the capital, including, in the central plan, the church of Bucur, the legendary founder of the city. The original copy is hand signed by the artist in the lower left corner.
