The photographs capture the participation of the former communist Foreign Minister George Macovescu at various plenary sessions of the United Nations during the period 1973-1977. In one of the photographs, addressing the assembly, is the President of the United States of America Jimmy Carter. All the photographs are original, produced by the UN photographic service. They are accompanied by a handwritten note signed by the director of the UN Information Center in Bucharest.
