The artist Eugen Drăguțescu (1914-1993) illustrated several volumes, in addition to his pictorial work. The present work includes illustrations inspired by the works of classics of Romanian literature and has a preface signed by Tudor Vianu. The copy includes the holograph signature of the artist twice and a dedication to the writer Pericle Martinescu.
