The bibliophile volume, printed in Latin, is fully preserved, in two volumes. The book's binding is made of wooden boards, wrapped in parchment, richly decorated on both covers with scenic medallions, featuring in legend, Latin inscriptions. The hinges, made of leather and metal, are old, original. The book does not keep property or reader notes. It is the most famous writing of the renowned and erudite German theologian, philologist and historian Philipp Lonicer (1532-1599): CHRONICORVM TVRCICORVM, In quibus TVRCORVM ORIGO, PRINCIPES, IMPERATORES, BELLA... AND CAEtera huc pertinentia ... exponuntur; And the institutes of the Mahometan religion; Iudiciorumq; the process, & the constitution of the court; Noting the customs and way of life of the chief citizens and the public: ACCESSERE, NARRATIO DE BAIAZETHIS FILIORVM SEDITIONIBVS ... And IOHANNIS AVENTINI Liber, in which the causes of the miseries by which the Christian Respub. is oppressed, are shown ... TOMVS PRIMVS-TERTIVS). ALL NVNC PRIMVM ... COLLECTED, AND explained in latin speech, by... D. PHILIPPO LONICERO Theologian. ... With a comprehensive INDEX of matters and words. [T.I:] (at Iohannes Feyerabendt ...) [T.II:] (EX OFFICINA Georgij Coruini ... ) [T.III:] (APVD IOANNEM FEYERabendt ...), Frankfurt am Main, 1578. Contains volumes I and II. At the beginning of the first volume is the dedication of Sig. Feyerabendt to Baron L. Schwendi, then 435 + 11 pages, and a page with the mark of I. Wechelum from Frankfurt. at the expense of Sig. Feyerabendii, 1584. The second volume has before the title a page with the mark of I. Wechelum from Frankfurt (at the expense of Sig. Feyerabendii, 1584), then, on 4 pages, the dedicatory epistle to I. Nicolaus Stupanus, Nuncupatoria, on 3 pages, the actual text of the work on 208 pages, and at the end the index of the volume on 13 pages, and on the 14th page the mark from the beginning is repeated, dated 1584. Graphically, the attractive frontispiece, historiated initials and vignettes, but especially the illustrations of the book, stand out.
