Metamorphoses is one of the masterpieces of the Latin poet Publius Ovidius Naso. It is a long epic poem in hexameters, here 250 legends (taken from Homer, Hesiod, Titus Livius, Vergilius) about the known transformations in the world, from the creation of the universe to the apotheosis of Caesar. Format in 8º, with 18 unnumbered pages and 423 numbered pages. The volume was printed in Lugdunum (Lyon), in the famous Iacobus Giunti publishing house, in Latin, with few decorative typographical elements: floral initials. Parchment binding, glued to cardboard, title and author on the spine.
