Period binding, brown leather, glued to cardboard. Cover one, at the top we find the coat of arms of the Kingdom of Romania with the two lions holding up the shield surmounted by the steel crown of Romania, under which the medal of the Order of Charles I has been applied together with the motto of the country "NIHIL SINE DEO". Inside the shield was depicted a crusader eagle, with sceptre and sword between its claws, carrying on its chest a shield emblazoned with the coats of arms of the Romanian, Moldovan, Ardeal, Dobrogea, Banat and Oltenia Lands, above which is that of the House of Hohenzollern. The whole ensemble is arranged on a pavilion with a golden crown on top. Under the coat of arms is inscribed the title 'La Roumanie' and a stylized phytomorphic ornament, the whole being framed by a border decorated with fleur-de-lis. Cover four retains only the vegetal decoration and border. The spine retains the volume title, publisher and year printed in gilt. Only 7 copies of this work are publicly known in collections, one being kept at the Romanian Academy Library, another at the National Library of Romania. A third copy is preserved in the collection of the Royal House of Romania. There is also a copy in the collection of the Maryhill Museum donated by Queen Mary during her trip to the United States in 1926 and a copy kept in the collection of the Central University Library "Mihai Eminescu" in Iași. Another known copy was given by Queen Mary to Marshal Ferdinand Foch in Alba Iulia on October 15, 1922, as a symbolic gesture of gratitude for his support to Romania in the First World War. One last copy is in a private collection. The volume was published on the occasion of the coronation of King Ferdinand of Romania at the Coronation in Alba Iulia on October 15, 1922.
