Inspired by the engraving of Ernst Mansfeld, but also by the style of the painter Matthias Veres from Cluj, the image reproduces the miracle-making icon brought by the Jesuits in 1699 from Nicula. The fact that is was painted on canvas, as well as the text in Latin from the lower part, partially rendered according to the engraving, indicate a possible order of a Roman Catholic church. The text in the upper part is not legible, this being drawn only, with approximation, even on the original icon, painted on wood, and the significance of the Cyrillic graphic signs is not known to the painter. Originally, it was an invocation addressed to The Mother of God.
