The official copy granted to the Romanian Principalities by the Ottoman Empire, in French in the original, renders the 50 articles of the Paris Convention that decided the form that the organization of the United Principalities would adopt, followed by another 23 (Deuxième annexe. Stipulations électorales annexées à la convention du 19 Août 1858) being written on parchment with black ink, italicized, elegant script, by the office, along 24 unpaginated sheets, completed double-sided, with the text framed in a simple thin linear border, also drawn with black ink. The document, impeccably preserved, reproduces the signatures of the plenipotentiary members of the guarantor powers at the end of each annex; in the original document, next to each signature are the armoires (heraldic blazon) proper to the respective representative. The present copy presents, on the back of the last sheet, the trace of a seal applied in wax under which is caught the signet consisting of two ribbons, one blue, the other red. Under the signatures reproduced in the upper register, of the European representatives, with the mention (L.S. – locus sigilli) is written the note of authenticity of the Ottoman interim minister of Foreign Affairs, dated October 21, 1858. The note attests that "this official copy conforms to the original of the convention of August 19, 1858 deposited at the imperial archives of the Sublime Porte". The bundle of the brochure is original, in dark red leather, with gilded decoration - central panel with phytomorphic ornaments inspired by the ornament of the French ties of the 16th century, with a fan of crochets in volute, in the 4 corners; an outer frame composed of wide borders, doubled by thin lines. The centre of the first cover presents the title inscribed in gilded capital letters: Principautés-Unies / Convention du 7/19 août / 1858.
