Colonel Constantin Blaremberg (1838-1886) was an aide to the Princes Alexandru Ioan Cuza and Carol, the future King Carol I. The photograph is taken in the studio of Franz Duschek the father, in Bucharest, and bears on the reverse side a handwritten dedication of the Colonel to a confidant.
