Gheorghe Hagi and Gheorghe Popescu are two Romanian footballers who made history for Romanian sport, wearing the shirts of the most reputable international clubs. For example, during the time spent at Barcelona (1995-2000), Luis Figo played alongside the two legends of the Golden Generation. He shared the locker room with Gică Popescu for two years, and with Gică Hagi in the 1995-1996 season.
