Andy Warhol is known for stating that everyone should be famous for fifteen minutes. Indeed, fame was what guided Warhol. He cultivated it through his cool, intriguing character, and surrounded himself with famous people. Creatively, fame took the image of Hollywood celebrities, political personalities, chic fashion personalities, rock musicians and sportsmen, such as Brazilian football star Pele presented in Edson-Pelé. The work Edson-Pelé is part of a series of star athletes, including Dorothy Hamill and Muhammad Ali from the late '70s.
