The work was part of the Nicolae Grigorescu retrospective exhibition organised by the Museum of Art of the People's Republic of Romania in Bucharest, 1957, and it is mentioned at category 21 page 22 in the exhibition catalogue - the title "French Peasant girl". The work is reproduced and catalogued in the "N. Grigorescu" monograph, volume I, George Oprescu, Meridiane Publishing House, Bucharest, 1962 at category 114. The work was part of the Nicolae Grigorescu retrospective exhibition organised at the Museum of Art of the Socialist Republic of Romania in Bucharest, 1984-1985, and it is reproduced in the exhibition catalogue at category 20, page 186. The work is included in the Treasure category of the National Mobile Cultural Heritage, by Order no. 2778 of 03.12.2004 of the Minister of Culture.
