Andreescu's contact with French art and artistic environment, as well as the revelation in front of nature will be essential factors in his stylistic path. He will cultivate a sober chromaticism, his interests being linked to the reconstitution of colour in solid architectural syntheses, thus announcing the aesthetic formulas of Romanian post-impressionism. He will tackle various genres of painting - portraiture, flowers, still life, landscape - the latter having to be given special attention from the beginning. Conceived realistically, in the modern spirit of the time, as a faithful and complex reflection of reality, the landscape will demand implications of light and atmosphere observed in plein-air. Attracted by everything that testified to his hardship and neediness, the artist would contemplate the humble aspects of life. Shabby houses captured at the edge of the village, deserted roads lined with bare trees and defoliated forest will be among the first motifs of his landscapes, which will return throughout his creation as milestones. Together with the motif of the bleak forest and the village edge, the motif of the country houses will define his pictorial vision in the most characteristic way. More than the images made in France, the landscapes of the country - along with the crisp and faithful appearance - will be characterized by a strongly concentrated expressive force, incorporating in their structure an exact, unadorned realism of things, formulated by the artist through complex relationships of colour, density and light.
