On July 5, 1915, 23-year-old Nikola Tanev married the teacher Dimitria Georgieva-Misha. Together, the Bulgarian artist traveled around the country, sharing intimate moments while exploring and touring their homeland. Their marriage lasted until the end of Tanev's life, and in 1940, the couple celebrated their silver anniversary. On this occasion, Nikola Tanev hand-painted the invitations for the soirée, and the presented lot is one of them. With it, the artist invited his guests to his home on 84 Evlogi Georgiev Blvd, where an exhibition of photographs from the lives of the newlyweds was also prepared. The pastel drawings on the invitation depict humorous moments from their wedding, giving it a decorative and playful look. The celebration took place on July 6, 1940.
