The battle axe has a conical spike, with a diamond-type section and flat hook-shaped blade, decorated with a semicircle-shaped motif, applied along the edge. The hook was used to knock the knight off the horse, as, because of the weight of the armour, he would not be able to stand and would become an easy prey.
