Ioana Nicoară (b. 1990, Bucharest) is a multimedia visual artist who sensibly blends watercolor, animation, and augmented reality to explore identity, femininity, and stories of rural and urban communities. With a career that began in animation for Romanian productions (e.g., Muntele Magic, Splendida Moarte Accident), she also cultivates a personal studio practice and has exhibited personal works in solo shows.
