The administrator of the Royal House, Ion Kalinderu, became a member of the Romanian Academy not only due to his significant influence in the public sphere, but also due to his historic writings dedicated to Roman civilization, like this work. The edition is illustrated with numerous high-quality images. The copy has uncut pages and includes ex-libris of the lawyer from Craiova, Mihail Puțureanu.
