The holographic dedication, signed and dated June 26, 1904, is from the author to the Italianist Alexandru Marcu. His initials appear at the bottom of the spine. On the title page there is a holographic ex-libris of the writer Nicoară N.N. Beldiceanu Nădejde, married to Victoria, one of the daughters of the socialist couple Ioan and Sofia Nădejde.
