Clotida Averescu captures the situation in the country like a true politician: "Politica merge cât se poate de rău; ţara este pe cale de a se anarchisa complet, şi guvernanţii nu pricep pericolul ce ne ameninţă.." ("Politics is as bad as can be; the country is about to fall into complete anarchy, and the government does not understand the danger lurking.."). She presents the activity and the political initiatives of General Alexandru Averescu (1859-1938) and his party.
