By designing this pair, Virgil Abloh paid homage to the skate culture of the '80s. In 1985, when Nike went public with the College Colour program, with the Dunk as its centrepiece, the University of Michigan was among the first to benefit from an associated colourway. The special design of this pair consists both in the original colour, by playfully combining yellow and dark blue, as well as in the set of secondary laces and typical Off-White details.
