The volume contains the story told by Queen Elizabeth of the trip taken on the Danube together with King Charles I on the royal yacht. The Queen signed with her literary pen name, Carmen Sylva. The trip, which took place between 27 April and 3 May 1904, is described with great talent in all its details, speaking about the places and the people. The Queen inserted at the beginning some details related to the king and her coming to Romania for the first time, on the Danube. The copy is kept in an elegant period binding.
