Cel mai probabil opera a participat la expoziția personală Gheorghe Petrașcu, Atheneul Român, 3 martie - 1 aprilie 1913, făcând parte din cele 120 de lucrări expuse atunci. Naturile statice erau remarcate de critica vremii: "Ici-colo, sub originalitatea negrului, cu o gamă de roșu pătată de un indispensabil reflex alb-albastru, naturile moarte amintesc efecte de culoare în sobrietatea misticului Cézanne...".
