Kimon Loghi's painting is closely related to the spread of his taste for the Munich Symbolism. Trained at the Bucharest School of Fine Arts, where he had Teodor Aman and George Demetrescu Mirea as professors, Kimon Loghi continued his studies in Munich, where he was admitted in the workshop of Franz von Stück, a representative painter for the Bavarian Jugendstil. Being part of the generation of artists who created in the romantic era, Kimon Loghi's works are inspired by the enchanting world of Romanian fairy tales and universal mythology.
