Research information
Most likely the work has attended the exhibition of the "Ileana" company, February 1898, at the category 90. In the review of "L'Independance roumaine" regarding the works of Luchian, Leo Bachelin said "Voici un Char à boeufs sur la grand route, dans le bon mouvement celui-là, mais Grigoresco a fait mieux". The work is inventoried and reproduced in "Ștefan Luchian. Paintings, pastel, water painting, drawing" critical catalogue by Theodor Enescu, foreword by Andrei Pleșu, Editura Institutul Cultural Român, Bucharest 2007 la cat. PI 67, pagr 87. The work is classified in the Treasure category of the Movable National Cultural Heritage, through the order of the minister of culture, no. 2778 of 03.12.2004.
