A Collection of Freemasonry Collectibles and Regalia Sale #298/2018

No one can tell when exactly Freemasonry came into being. The most popular theory is that the organisation was created in the Middle Ages within the masons’ guilds, as most symbols used for Masonic rituals date back to this period. Masonic lodges were established in 1717, when four London-based lodges formed the first Grand Lodge of England. From that time on, Masonry has spread all over the world. This auction presents a few items that mark this centuries-old history: pocket watches with Masonic inscriptions, ritual boxes, Mason certificates, guidebooks and decoders of ceremonials, gold Masonic orders, decorated with gems, ceremonial trowels and sceptres, collars, medals and pins, clothing items for Masonic ceremonies and many more exceptional collectibles.
