The Anniversary Auction "Hanul cu Tei 1833" celebrates under the aegis of the illustrious han's history, 6 years of successful auctions within the Artmark auction house. With a carefully curated and vast selection that starts from the heights of classical and modern art and reaches to the present, the auction offers approximately 200 artworks with a unique starting price of only 100 euros, targeting both collectors and art enthusiasts looking to venture into initiating their own collections. The history of the famous Han cu Tei starts in 1833, when, upon the initiative of the merchants Anastasie Hagi Polizu and Ștefan Popovici, a new han was decided to be built in the "heart of the market town", at the intersection of Blanari and Lipscani streets. The han easily gained fame in that era and became the epicenter of merchandise transactions coming from the major European capitals, goods that inevitably caught the attention of the ladies and gentlemen of the 19th century. Following a steadfast tradition, the auction aims to bring collectors or potential collectors together with unique artworks signed by Romanian masters.
