Descriere
We invite you to discover a remarkable selection of gold jewelry, decorative art objects, and silver collectible pieces, brought together in an auction that celebrates the elegance, refinement, and history of European silversmithing. Among the lots in this auction, Lot 33 stands out: a rare pink gold necklace with a pendant-brooch, handcrafted around 1900, a representative piece of the European jewelry Belle Époque. Handmade, featuring a rose-cut diamond of approximately 2.50 carats and 34 additional rose-cut diamonds, the necklace comes with its original box. A distinct section of this auction is dedicated to silver objects belonging to one of Romania’s most refined and discreet private art collections: the collection of General Mihai Caraman. The silverware pieces from this collection span nearly two centuries of European craftsmanship and reflect a taste shaped by the great traditions of decorative arts: from the silver decanter decorated with putti and Bacchic elements, dating around 1737 (Lot 76), to the capped tankard from 1736 (Lot 77), and the tankard decorated with vegetal and faunal elements from 1748 (Lot 79).
