Since 2015, Polisano Foundation has supported over 400 children with congenital heart defects to benefit from surgical interventions that have saved their lives. Most of the operations have been carried out with the help of highly qualified, volunteer medical teams from England, Germany, and Sweden. Polisano Foundation is involved in community health through treatment, prevention, and awareness projects, health education, as well as equipping hospitals in Romania. An important focus for the foundation is children with heart malformations, whom it assists with diagnosis and treatment with the support of international partner medical teams. Through this project, teams from England, Sweden, and Germany come to Romania several times a year to treat children with serious heart conditions from across the country. Since its inception, Polisano Foundation has helped between 30 and 40 children annually receive life-saving cardiac interventions, with a 100% success rate.
This lot has no material expression, but rather a symbolic one, strictly spiritual. The winner or participants do not receive a valuable object in exchange for the winning bid; instead, since it is in fact a donation or sponsorship, they receive a certificate of award. The document is offered both to the participant who offered the highest amount and to all those who contributed to achieving the charitable goal. The pricing regime is cumulative; therefore, offers are not mutually exclusive but, in relation to the humanitarian purpose of the auction, they are accumulated, reflecting the current total price and the number of participants.
