The monetary emissions assigned to the reign of Stephen the Great are named Groschen and Half Groschen, in the same system as the Ottoman Akçe, a monetary system which continues Peter Aaron's (1455 - 1457) monetary reform. The coins are divided in two typologies, made in silver of a superior quality.
