The bronze medal made by the illustrious engraver and sculptor Constantin Baraschi, fellow of the Romanian Academy, depicts on the obverse the bust of Professor Nanu Muscel, surrounded by the circular legend "Homage to Professor I. Nanu Muscel 1935'', and on the reverse Colței Hospital and the year 1845. Professor Ion Nanu Muscel taught clinical medicine at the Faculty of Medicine in Bucharest and was appointed member of the Romanian Academy for his achievements in the medical profession.
