The medallion was made by the engraver and sculptor Constantin Kristescu. In addition to his acclaimed artistic career, which began in 1906 with the first medal dedicated to Princess Maria and the 4th Regiment Roșiori, he had a long military career during the First World War. This piece displays the effigy of Queen Maria on the obverse, surrounded by the text that refers to the inauguration of the Dispensary, and on the reverse side the Queen's cross, next to the crown received just a year before, in Alba Iulia.
