This outstanding album was edited by the Romanian Historical Commission, presided by Nicolae Iorga, who also wrote the introduction. The album reproduces, in the special graphic conditions of 105 photoengravings, medieval documents from Moldavia, some of them published in the form of facsimile for the first time. The editor of this Romanian and French bilingual edition, was historian, university professor and Romanian Academy member Ioan Bogdan, Nicolae Iorga's generation colleague and brother in law.
