The volume contains the laws upon which the Alexandru Ioan Cuza's reforms were based, after the coup d'état of the 2nd of May 1864, such as: the agrarian and the administrative reforms, aimed at the territorial reorganisation of the Romanian Principalities, the uniformisation of the measurement and weighing systems, the administrative organisation of urban and local settlements (towns and villages), the organisation of the Court of Audit, of the District Councils, the reform of public education or the law regulating the status of foreign immigrants. The specimen comprises various stamps by the National Print Direction, affiliated to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Romanian Principalities. The vintage binding consists of parchment-type material and leather back, divided into five sections.
