Obverse: "IMP TRAIANO AVG GER DAC P M TR P" Reverse: "COS V P P S P Q R OPTIMO PRINCIPI / DAC CAP" On its obverse, the coin presents Emperor Trajan's bust, wearing a laurel wreath, oriented towards right and surrounded by the Latin abbreviation of the phrase "Imperator Traiano Augustus, Germanicus, Dacicus, Pontifex Maximus, Tribunicia Potestate", while the reverse contains the representation of a Dacian sitting next to a series of captured weapons, shields, and equipment, alongside the inscriptions, of which the first is an abbreviated formula, and the second one written in full, "Consul Quintum, Pater Patriae, Senatus Populusque Romanus, Optimo Principi", and "Dacia Capta".
