The diary is written in a lined exercise notebook, with cardboard covers, in regular and chemical pencil, and in black and blue ink, double-sided. The files contain the account of the writer's trip to Rome between January and September 1931. On the last files of the notebook there are lists of daily expenses. The pages have subsequently been corrected and interventions have been made in the text by the author, with a red pencil, and a short annotation of 4 September 1946 appears towards the end. Among the files there are two postal notices, one from Romania, the other from Italy, and a payment notice issued to the Galaction family by Întreprinderea Canal Apă Salubritate (the Sewer Water Sanitation Company) of Bucharest in January 1952.
