The fantastic world created by the artist fascinates through the fabulous bestiary, where one can find numerous species of animals and plants, hypnotising and vast landscapes, all of them accomplished in a lively, exotic chromatic. His travels to Africa encourage him to find himself and return to painting. Following these journeys, one can notice the strong influence of the African style, very well homogenised with surrealistic elements, found in Perahim's painting. Each one of his works resembles an extremely vital and festive performance. The characters are illustrated in a sublimated, totem-like form. Their chromatics and textures are of a hypnotising beauty, typical for Perahim, making us think of the luxuriant vegetation of African lands. The morphological identity of the characters from Perahim's imaginary can rarely be restricted to one single aspect, as they are created using a multitude of organic and inorganic elements, as well as real and mystical ones. The fantastic bestiary amazes with its lively chromatic, just like the feathers of the exotic birds living in the African jungles.
