Research information
The artwork was part of the solo show "Spații si obiecte pentru nimic", Museum of Art Arad, november 2014 and figures on the cover of the exhibition catalogue. Laurian Popa lives and works in Arad, Romania. He holds an MA in visual arts at the Department of Arts in Timisoara. He is a member of the Romanian Plastic Artists" Union, Arad Branch. He has participated in 15 collective exhibitions in Romania and abroad: in Paris, Madrid, Kiev and Budapest. Regarding the composition of his paintings, he states that it "has two different levels of expression: one empty, full of silence, and the other charged with vivid colours and organic life. In many of my works this dichotomy is central: the matter needs air in order to fly"
