A retrospective look at the artist's entire activity indicates that dating has been a favored and approached artifice by the artist throughout the years. The dating becomes an integral part of the work, a prominent part even, that stands out and imposes itself detachedly, passing in front of the viewer in a specific formula: the day and year are inscribed under Arabic numerals, while for marking the month the artist prefers Roman numerals. In the present work, we find these inscriptions on the left side of the work. The notation here merges with the background of the work and gives continuity to the motif. Essentially, dating occurs at the finishing of the work, when the last strokes furrow the surface of the board. Thus, dating becomes a finite inscription, marking the end of an important stage. It highlights the issue of time and its irreversible flow into infinity. Florin Mitroi's work is, therefore, an alienated projection of an unknown self, released by the artist onto the work surface. If a large part of his work is dedicated to the introspective process that often ends in the suggestion of self-mutilation, this time the artist focuses his attention on an erotic game, in which the protagonist moves away from the previously proposed spleen and assumes another aesthetic state. Thus, we are dealing with the male character, presented frontally, with his hands placed on the woman's body. In the case of the female character, we note the depersonalization and reduction of her identity to a bodily sum, in the drawing the muse's face is not also depicted.
